Barcelo Royal Beach, Sunny Beach

Royal Beach was a very good choice for bars and restaurants, and the beach too. The rooms are well-equipped suites with separate living-room, kitchenette, and balcony, which we were very happy about, especially considering the early check-in time. The location is excellent, central to the main strip, though not directly on the beach. The dining experience was ok, without breakfast served, but they do offer wood-fired pizza.

The hotel felt more like a neighborhood with multiple buildings rather than a traditional hotel setup. The rooms were decent with a comfortable bed, good AC, a nice bathroom, and a balcony; however, cleanliness was lacking, and the sheets were not pristine white or changed during our stay. On the upside, they had a smart TV with internet access. The location was convenient with plenty of restaurants nearby and easy access to the center. Dining offered a good variety of drinks, though the quality and choices were lacking at times. Overall, a mixed experience with some ups and downs.

Staying at this hotel felt like being in a lively neighborhood rather than a traditional hotel setup. The rooms were very nice and spacious, and although the reception staff was lovely, the pool was a bit too cold for a comfortable swim. Unfortunately, being on a self-catering basis meant having no access to food within the hotel, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was no entertainment provided, making it more suitable for couples than families.
